Sony partnered with ZigZag Productions and YouTube to create a collaborative bootcamp for budding online music stars. Over 4 weeks, 8 singers & musicians from 7 different musical acts would collaborate on covers of some of the hottest hits of the time. Each week, the singers would form a new partnership or trio and record and mix their cover of a classic track they’d picked for the week. As part of the process, they would also film a music video to partner with it.
Over those 4 weeks, I was tasked to direct, shoot and edit 3 music videos in two days - each week. We had to get creative with limited time and notice on the tracks, a shoestring budget, and as little as 3 hours to shoot, and another 3 hours to edit. These are the results.
